Payment Verification Guide (PV)
This guide is going to explain in-depth more about payment verification, why it occurs, and how to improve your chances of not getting PV'd (payment verification).
The first thing to know, payment verification is SEPARATE from Adyen. Adyen is a payment processor and they determine what payments go through, while payment verification is canceling the order after it has been placed.
In this guide, you should consider your profiles to have a score and that for each thing they determine to be fraudelent / incorrect, it will take points off your score. The lower your score, the higher chance of PV. If your profiles are too similar are you are running multiple tasks on the same profile, you might run into errors (Adyen) as they will prevent you from checking out.
Name
The name on the order doesn't seem to affect the order that much. It is still possible that the same order profiles get errors.
Email
Catch-alls are an easy thing to filter out. Regardless of the domain, this can put your order at high risk. It is recommended to use unique emails (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) as opposed to catch-alls. Note that it is still possible to get orders in with catch-alls.
Phone Number
To be on the safe side, the best thing to do is randomize phone numbers with the same area code as you are shipping to. They don't call or text the number so a random one should be no
Address
This is probably the number one parameter that can determine whether you get PV'd or not. Using just an address 2 to keep your profiles unique can easily be filtered. Therefore, multiple profiles with the same type of address can be detected and lead to PV. The best thing to do here is making Address Line 1
as unique as possible. Some ways you can do this is putting random letters in the beginning (ABC 123 New York St), words in between the street and number (123 at New York St), etc.
Card
VCC's seem to be less reliable now. If too many points are taken off your score, using a VCC would not help for your score either. If you are using a VCC, your profiles with the above parameters must be top-notch.
Proxies
Using proxies should not affect your orders too much (if at all). However, submitting orders with a similar profile and different locations would be very suspicious so can lead to PV.
Previously Used Profiles
Even if your profile has successfully purchased and not get PV'd in the past, it does not mean your profile is safe from being PV'd.
Additional Info
These are all tips to avoid PV determining from what I know from the past 2 drops. This is not at all guaranteed to solve your issues and is going to be a trial and error thing that we will have to adapt to and figure out considering this is a new change. Using the information above should improve your chances of successfully receiving your orders though without PV.
For avoiding checkout errors (Adyen), a good tip is to run one task per profile, per SKU. Too many tasks with the same profile on one item can lead you running into errors like Cart Emptied...
or stuck on Submitting Order
(not the sole reason for submitting order). This is not required but it can potentially save you from being temporary banned / unable to submit orders with your profile during the drop.
